From the “Didn’t See That One Coming” Files Another excellent reason to have had an antique and personal property appraisal carried out… the surprise mid-day drive-thru. The garage I was called out to wasn’t full of stored tins of hazardous chemicals like this photo – it was full of stored antiques! I was called in by the owner to have a look – and to carry out a “forensic appraisal” – where I try to figure out what the pile of stuff was worth BEFORE it became … well, a pile of stuff.
