Jump to the full entry & travel map La Fortuna, Province of Alajuela, Costa Rica The Arenal volcano is really neat, it is constantly erupting and and the best time to see it is at night when the lava appears to glow. This area is usually cloud covered and rainy so it’s hard to catch viewing time of the volcano between the clouds. Word speads fast when theres a break in the clouds then minivans and tourist busses from around town all gather at the viewing points to gaze at the eruptions and watch the glowing lava and rocks flow down the sides of the volcano

I was talking about their arrival for weeks before they came. I could hardly wait!! They beat me to the hotel, but were out snorkeling when I got there. I was happy to have some time to lay out by the pool and I met some nice guys who helped me with my Spanish and I sipped on my virgin pinacoloda.

In this article we take a look at three of the new styles that Uggs have come up with and which are proving to be extremely popular in much the same way as the Ugg Classic Cardy boot was just before Christmas. The cheapest pair of shoes that we are going to be looking at cost no more than $30 whilst the others are only going to cost you $100

The city looks very nice at night with lakes surrounded with paths and trees, bridges and boats, pagodas and hotels all illuminated.

The walking tour included a 1 hour train ride and boat trip to an island off Tigre called Tres Bocar, which is on a muddy river. We spoke at length to a couple from Florida USA, Hannie and Zsolt who gave us a lot of information about South America, as Zsolt was brought up in Argentina.

The petroglyphs are a series of rock carvings that had been etched into the rocks behind Langar since Bronze Age times, and had been added to by passing travellers (as a sort of travel diary) for as long as the Wakhan Valley had been a trade route

When many people hear the words plastic surgery being used in a sentence, they think of A-list celebrities who have abused this practice to the point of being unrecognizable. The assumption is that the wealthy and famous, who are shallow and surface-orientated, are the only people who go under the knife and while it maybe be true that some of them do it for vanity, the fact of the matter is that this is a wrong assumption that is plaguing a legitimate medical industry.

Jump to the full entry & travel map Siem Reap, Cambodia While I was traveling to Siem Reap, the gateway to Angkor Wat, I was thinking of John Keats’ “Ode on a Grecian Urn”, a poem that perfectly describes the endlessness of arts. Indeed, I imagine, when one looks at the carving of those beautiful dancing girls on the temples’ walls and pillars, what else would come to his mind but these Keats’ verses: Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard/ Are sweeter; therefore, ye soft pipes, play on;/Not to the sensual ear, but, more endeared,/Pipe to the spirit ditties of no tone But now, after I went thru Cambodia, I think of Wagner’s opera, Twilight of the Gods (Gotterdammerung) when my mind drifts to the giant faces of gods in the wats. Just like in the opera, they cannot protect themselves from being destroyed, let alone saving others; they only smiled their forever smiles when so much killing and horrors happened right in front of them (Angkor Wat was one of the area where the Khmer Rouge gave up last).

Is it almost the end of October already?  How can it be that Fall is slipping away so quickly?  I must wear my Fall clothes and accessories before it gets too cold!  My favorite accessory, fingerless gloves, are one of those items that it’s just harder to wear once the weather gets bitterly cold.  Yes, it’s nice to have a little finger dexterity, but the tips of your fingers might just fall off if you try to wear these when it’s 10 degrees.  (We’ll discuss layering gloves in a few months…) So my point today is that in order to rock this style, you need to get your fingerless gloves now!  They are so adorable and have a little glamour, a little rocker, and a little innocence in them.  Free People has some unique, stylish, and affordable options.
