Sweet! Cookie Jar collectors should be delighted.  Whether you are a collector of new, antique, eclectic or vintage cookie jars, this could be the most wonderful hidden treasure trove around.  Many of you collectors have found your precious pottery  and jars on Ebay, but did you know that Etsy offers a vintage category and it is so easy to find what you want. Typically known as the place to go for all of your handcrafted needs, they have so much more to offer! I love the format of Etsy.  I have been a seller on Etsy since the year it launched.  I opened my Rustique Art Etsy shop in June of 2005 and although I didn’t do much with it the first couple of years, I have since opened two more shops and enjoy creating, designing and hunting for the most wonderful treasures on Etsy

No duty free in the middle of nowhere but I did manage to get our remaining firewood across the border by stating with authority that it had no bark and after a quick private consultation we breezed across the border with a Banff jerry-rigged piece of wood with bark on the roof holding up Erik the kayak. Our first introduction to US Glacier National Park (NB: US used so as not to be confused with BC’s Glacier NP) was a twelve mile dead-end road directing us to Many Glacier with a lake plus dam and many gorgeous mountains with some small glaciers attached

A few days ago, Self Salon, a salon hot-spot in Brooklyn, celebrated their revamped space with a beauty blogger party! It was so so so fun. I joined in with some of my beauty biz besties and noshed on Greek food while we sipped vino and had fall-ready makeovers. Here’s some pix! That's me with Felicia Sullivan of FeliciaSullivan.com and Becky Ellis of SecondCityStyle.com – Felicia got fab accupuncture, and Becky a signature dry cut! That's me and my BFF Allie – I got a blowout, and she got a glossing treatment, doesn't it look fab

In only five years I have watched Tory Burch explode as a designer.  In 2004 she debuted with her colorful patterned tunic dresses, and now you can find her recognizable logo on everything from boots to handbags to jewelry.  To continue to expand Tory Burch as a lifestyle brand, in October Tory Burch will be debuting a first ever eyewear collection.  I have images from the collection to share with you before the designs have been released to the public! The Tory Burch eyewear collection fits in with styles that are fashionable today with modern takes on classic vintage styles.  Tory was inspired by old photos of her parents travelling in the 60s, 70s, and 80s to exotic locations like Greece, Morocco, and Istanbul.  She used classic looks from icons like James Dean, Peter Fonda, Steve McQueen, and Faye Dunaway. Tory brings her great sense of style to all of her lines, so I expect that this new eyewear collection will instantly be a hit among women who are already loving her clothes and accessories.  To complete your entire Tory Burch outfit, the sunglasses will pair perfectly with the Tory Burch tunic dress, Reva ballet flats, and oversized tote that you already have in your closet.

I have always wanted to understand a little more about aromatherapy, so I was excited to get the chance to try Enessa’s line of organic aromatherapy skin care products.  Aromatherapy is the art of using essential oils to enhance health, beauty and psychological well-being.  Essential oils are the concentrated extracts from plants, flowers, and herbs with unique scents that have an effect on mood and health.  If you have ever had an aromatherapy massage, you will remember the way that the distinct scents were used throughout the session to evoke specific feelings of relaxation.

We had a busy day today…when we woke up we checked out Back Beach, Rocky Point, and Jan Jac Beach all a 2 second walk from where we slept! It was freezing outside but people were still surfing/swimming! We did a little shopping at the surf shops in Torquay then hit the road.

Today was not about [graphic] design, it was about the art of food. The original plan: Meet my mom for lunch and see a lecture at a bookstore then come home. What actually occurred: After seeing my mom’s artwork displayed in the window at Dimensions gallery in Petaluma, we had a yummy salad and caramelized-onions-with-lamb on a thin-crust pizza at Graffiti, did some impromptu antiquing (there happened to be an antique street fair going on), then landed at Copperfield’s book store to see a lecture by Cake Wreck blogger, Jen Yates , where we were served delicious cake balls and a chocolate cake made by local bakers.

In the Weston Missouri State Park there’s not only a lot of great hiking trails, and a campground, there’s a historic landmark:  the 1931 Tobacco Barn.  Though it’s not in production here, the tobacco barn in town IS still actively drying and producing tobacco.  This one stands as a landmark and is in relatively good condition.  Although we are not allowed to go in it, except just to step a few feet inside and look and take pictures   *I thought finding this discarded cigarette wrapper in the parking lot was meant just for me to get this shot.   *some trivia on the historical sign posted outside of the Barn.

Around 48 hours ago I was sat on a cold hard bench in Manchester airport staring at a weird man razzing around on an automated floor cleaner, shining the life out of the floor like it was an army boot. It was about 1am and my brain had deteriorated to the level where I found myself questioning why he was doing this, in between wondering how entertaining a trip to the coke machine would be to pass some time.
